Her Story

Her Excellency Janet Kataaha Museveni, born on June 24, 1948, in Ntungamo District, Uganda, has been the First Lady since 1986. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Makerere University and a Master's in Organizational Leadership and Management from Uganda Christian University. Before her tenure as First Lady, she was actively involved in social and community work, focusing on the welfare of women and children. Her dedication to public service and education has significantly influenced her initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Ugandans.

H.E. Janet Museveni is a staunch advocate for women's empowerment and youth development in Uganda.
