Her Story

Her Excellency Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo, born on March 12, 1951, in Ghana, is the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana. She is the daughter of Justice Jacob Hackenburg Griffiths-Randolph, a former Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, and Frances Phillipina Griffiths-Randolph. Rebecca pursued her education at Achimota Primary School and Wesley Grammar School, later attending the Government Secretarial School. Before her tenure as First Lady, she worked as a secretary and was actively involved in social and community work, focusing on the welfare of women and children. Her dedication to public service and philanthropy has significantly influenced her initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.
