Fenix Global previously established an Asian American Investment Managers network to advance underrepresented asset managers and launched the industry’s first “State of Asian American Women Investment Managers” report.

In partnership with Republic, Diane leads women and diverse investments for Republic’s 3 million user platform that deployed $3 billion into 2000 companies. As a seasoned venture capitalist, she has a track record of 40+ investments including a unicorn, an investment professional with over $500 million capital raised. She was also Founder of an Asian American women focused fund, a medtech VC firm in partnership with the world’s largest medical center innovation center, and former Managing Director of Rice Angel Network. With experience in working with institutional venture capital, she advised top tier institutions on venture ecosystems. Diane Yoo is an investment partner to several Silicon Valley funds including the largest community of women investors in the country and the first FemTech fund in the nation. In 2002, she moved to the United Arab Emirates and founded Carré d’Art in 2010, a company specializing in the development and furnishing of high-end palaces, villas, government buildings, airports, and hotels across the Middle East and Gulf States, including landmark projects such as the Abu Dhabi Presidential Palace, the New Cairo Presidential Palace, and the Ministry of Interior in Jeddah.

In addition to her achievements in the luxury furnishing sector, Zeina is known for her role in connecting international partners for major projects, including the Abu Dhabi airport. Her entrepreneurial spirit extends to founding French companies that launch limited edition collections of marble pieces with leading global artists and establishing Obsidian Investissement, a company focused on waste management.

Mr. Laird Robertson, Esq. serves as legal counsel to Women United Foundation, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from his distinguished 25-year career as an investment banker and corporate attorney. After earning his undergraduate degree with honors from Yale College, Mr. Robertson pursued further studies at Oxford University and later at Georgetown Law School. There, he distinguished himself as the Executive Editor of the Georgetown Law Review and served as a Teaching Fellow.

Following his time at Georgetown, Mr. Robertson began his legal career as a law clerk for the then Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court in Honolulu, Hawaii. He subsequently worked for international law firms in Paris, gaining valuable global experience in various legal disciplines. His expertise was further honed at the U.S. Department of State, where he served as an officer. In this role, he was actively involved in both bilateral and multilateral negotiations in Washington, D.C., and Geneva, providing advice to the Economic & Business Bureau on critical issues such as telecommunications, intellectual property, and international trade.

In addition to his legal qualifications, Mr. Robertson holds a California Real Estate Broker's License, showcasing his versatile understanding of both real estate and legal frameworks. He is admitted to practice law in several prestigious jurisdictions, including California, New York, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Robertson's comprehensive background in law, international relations, and business makes him an invaluable asset to the Women United Foundation, where his expertise supports the foundation's initiatives and strengthens its global outreach and legal strategies.
